VHIO Meet the Editors with
Nature Reviews Cancer

Monday, 29 June 2015

Taking place on Monday 29 June 2015, 15:00 - 16:15, we are delighted to announce that Senior Editor of Nature Reviews Cancer, M. Teresa (Tesi) Villanueva, will be joining us at VHIO to deliver the next prestigious VHIO Meet the Editors talk, followed by a Q & A with the audience:

Reviews journals: Inside Nature Reviews Cancer

“From the moment Nature Publishing Group launched the first Nature Reviews titles in 2000, they gained a reputation for publishing superbly illustrated, high-impact Reviews written by leading international researchers. Each Review journal aims to provide a visually stunning one-stop service, distilling the most significant new science into a concise, readable package. To achieve this, we attend conferences, commission, edit and keep up with the scientific literature. This allows us to provide a service to authors that doesn't stop at commissioning and start again at editing, but continues throughout the writing process.

My presentation will include a stepwise look at the life of a Review, including how we commission and approach developmental editing as well as the importance of the peer review process in a Review. I will also discuss how we assess unsolicited Reviews, and the day-to-day job of a Reviews editor.”

True to the fame and format of these unique educational opportunities, the second half of the session will be dedicated to a Question & Answers round with Tesi, providing all participants with opportunity to put their comments and questions forward.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. To secure your attendance please register online today by scrolling down this page.
